Become a Member/Renew

The members of the Irvington Historical Society play a key role in preserving the history of Irvington and in the stewardship of the McVickar House, the home of the Historical Society. Every year member’s elect a Board of Trustees. Members participate in a wide variety of events and programs including special exhibits and events, tours, research, publications, volunteer opportunities and educational programs. We also work in cooperation with the Irvington school system to enhance educational and community activities.

As a member of the Irvington Historical Society, you assist in:

  • Preserving and expanding our library and archives.

  • Developing and implementing exhibits and programs in locations throughout Irvington especially at the McVickar House, a National Historic House.

  • Outreaching to the community and schools of Irvington.

  • Protecting and up keeping the McVickar House.


As a member, you will receive:

  • Our bi-annual newsletter called ‘The Roost’.

  • Invitations to special member only events.

  • Priority access to all other events.
